Convenient access to the beach and Lagoon Pool make this updated two-bedroom, two-bath condo a favorite amongst Destin West guests.

The private veranda and master en suite provide great privacy for relaxation after a long day at the beach or lounging on our lazy river. A guestroom provides additional privacy for extra members of your party. This vacation rental also includes a bunk room furnished with a set of bunk beds and a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the family room, each room also includes an entertainment center.

Additional amenities include a fully furnished kitchen, guest room, and convenient access to our private beach, lazy river, and many seasonably heated pools.

We loved the location and amenities of this property. My only wish is that there was early access to the fitness center and pool areas. I appreciate the care and cleanliness each day, but it would be nice to sit in the hot tub before 9am.

We had the best time at Destin West! The pool and hot tub were a big hit. We loved the beach being close! Our place was great but just a few items that were missing from the kitchen- we had only 1 dish towel, no hot pads and no 9x13 pan. It was clean beside the floor was very dirty!

We've stayed at Destin West for 10 years and we love the ground floor units! It makes it so easy to access the pool just by walking out the door, plus we love having a large patio for our beach toys and towels.

The beds in #112 were more comfortable than most of the others we've had in other units so that was a big plus! There were updated ceiling fans and light fixtures, as well as new bathroom sinks, kitchen sink, and kitchen backsplash.

What we didn't love was the lack of seating in this condo. This is a 2 bedroom unit plus bunkroom that sleeps EIGHT people, yet there is only one small couch and 1 small chair in the living room. This made it difficult for our family to hang out together inside for games or TV.

We love to hang out or lounge outside on the patio a lot of the time when we visit Destin West, but the only outdoor furniture in this unit is one table and 4 mismatched and rickety chairs. Again, this made it impossible for the 6 of us to hang out as a family on the patio, eating or otherwise.

There were no rugs or runners in this unit to keep sand from being tracked in, so we swept and vacuumed a lot during the week.

There were also a lot of fruit flies in this particular unit. Nothing we did got rid of them. It didn't help that the trashcan does not have a lid on it, so it left all trash exposed. It looks like it was supposed to have a lid and had been broken or was missing.

Check in was a hassle to cross Miracle Strip Parkway for the office, when other companies do everything online and give you the code/info for check-in/check-out via email or an app.

It's a good basic unit but we'll choose a different one for our next stay.

Over all it was a fine rental. However, there is no rug in the entire unit. I understand the sand issue with rugs, but just buy a cheap area rug. Instead there is a thin layer of sand at all times, even at check in after it was just cleaned. Additionally, the condo sleeps right, but only has one single couch in the living room area. We were there with a large group and all other condos in our group had more seating, including the one bedrooms members of our group had. Also, the coffee table and s couple of the dining chairs were incredibly rickety. The gnats were bad too. We called about that, they sent over someone who poured bleach down our drains, then said it's an hoa problem and there's nothing more they can do.

The condo was in a GREAT location, but it could have been cleaner. The condo is furnished with cloth furniture and it was all stained and dirty, the couch and chair both. We ended up sitting on the dining chairs the entire time we were there and it wasn’t comfortable at all. The bed in the master has a VERY firm mattress and made our backs hurt after one night. We ended up leaving a day early because it was hard to find a place to relax in the condo. Upon booking, I was told the pool right outside our patio door would be heated and it wasn’t; which was very disappointing for our family. The other heated pool on the gulf side was under construction, so we couldn’t use that one either. The lady that checked me in mentioned the pool on the map, but never told us it was unusable due to construction. We walked to the bayside one day to use the other pools, but would have like the pools on our side to be heated and working as well. Everyone from the gulf side was using the single hot tub and you can imagine how that went, as it only fit a few people and everyone had the same idea. The cleaning crew could have done a better job as well, since they charge you $120. We left the place cleaner than when we arrived. The walls and doors had dirty smudges on them, the refrigerator was dirty, the freezer had a brick of ice between the ice maker and the door and I had to buy cleaning supplies and clean the showers before we used them. The smoke alarm started chirping at 11:00 one night due to a battery needing to be replaced, so I called the front desk and they told me since that wasn’t an emergency and they would send someone out the next day. We had to try and sleep with that thing going off all night. We booked this unit because of the ability to walk out of the condo right to the pool, since it was ground level, but since the pool wasn’t heated , it was useless. The lazy river on the bayside would be great, in the summer, but not

We had THE BEST week at Destin West Resort. Unit Gulf #112 Was very clean and nicely finished with direct access to the pool deck and the beach just across the hill. The kitchen was supplied with plenty of dishes, glassware and bakeware. It was super handy to have the washer/dryer available as well. The unit also came with a weekly rental of two beach chairs and an umbrella which was a nice surprise. We could walk to several places to eat or Destin was just a very short drive.

Unit was sub-par! Shower in master did not drain, I fixed! Sink in guest bath did not drain, I fixed! Unit was full of sand upon arrival. Poor dining chairs. Mold on ceiling in shower of guest bath. Door to laundry cabinet broken, fridge makes loud noise, coffee pot leaks.. patrons climbed gates for late night hour swims. Loved location of unit but in need of better cleaning and repairs.

I WAS VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH OUR UNIT IT WAS NOT CLEAN TO MY STANDARDS THE SHOWER IN THE MASTER BATH ALWAYS RAN OVER BECAUSE IT DID NOT DRAIN WELL.BEDS WERE NOT MADE UP WITH A TOP SHEET AND COULD NOT FIND SHEETS FOR PULL OUT COUCH BED. THERE WAS NO INSTRUCTION FOR HOW TO OPERATE THE TVS THAT DROVE HUSBAND CRAZY
