Description

We enjoyed our stay in this unit. The only issue we had, the sliding door would not lock. The unit was stocked with plenty of pots, pans, and dishes. We did cook a few meals, but also enjoyed eating out at some of the local restaurants. Clean pool and property, and the beach access was amazing! We would stay again!

We love the location of this property. The unit is well stocked, The outside furniture is in desperate need of replacing along with the bedroom carpet. The unit was nicely cleaned.

Very clean! Spacious, and great location within the resort. The hot tub and pool is just steps away from the back door. The parking garage is just steps away from the front door. We will definitely be back!

This was our 4th stay at Destin West, our 2nd stay in Unit 116. Since our last stay in this room they have updated the colors and are making a few improvements. The carpet is showing some age and the sheets on the king size bed need replacing but, oh, I love that mattress! Just remember, it is a rental, it will have some nicks and scratches here and there - just makes it feel more like home! We had a couple of issues with the sliding door onto the patio but maintenance came and fixed them right away for us. The kitchen is well stocked with things you'd need to cook, if you decide to. We always enjoy our stays here and can't wait to come back again. Great place for all ages! Oh, and if you're a nature lover this is the room for you! There are two squirrels that visit the patio regularly looking for treats, we assumed that someone has fed them at some point. They are fun to watch, just be sure to close the patio door or you'll have unwanted inside guests! Hope to see you again soon Florida!!

Property was as described. The beach is gorgeous. Parking and traffic were easy to navigate. The condo was clean, but in use of some minor repairs when we were there. The master bedroom closet was damaged beyond use. We chose this condo for its accessibility; however, it wasn't possible to directly drive a wheelchair through the sliding door to the balcony/porch area.

We were disappointed in the customer service at our location. I knew we would be arriving past check-in hours and called twice for directions. Both times, I was told we would receive an email with information on the day of check in. By 4pm that day, I did not hear from them. I called once more and was given a code to access our condo and reassured we would get an email with that information as well as an after hours number to call if we had difficulties. I never received this email. Checkout was also not customer friendly. We had to leave when the office was not open, and were told to put resort wrist bands (that were never once checked while at the resort) in a lock box by the office. We put them in a lock box by the nearest office to our condo. Later that day, were charged $40 per bracelet for not returning them. Upon inquiry, we were told they were put in the wrong lock box. Directions were not clearly given to us as to which lock box to place them when we checked in. As a result, it took two days to be issued a refund.

Overall, I would recommend this place to others, but with caution. I'd advise them to ask multiple questions for clarity when dealing with staff at the condo.


While there, we enjoyed the Southern Star Dolphin Cruise (highly recommend), Maximum Magic Show at Harbor Walk (it was amazing! My son got to be part of the show), and the Gulfarium (nice afternoon visit).

Ok condo- great on the 1st floor. Needs maintenance done.

The location was great! The space inside was nice.
The ice maker was broken so we never had ice. Maintenance did bring us a couple bags.
The big problem was this was a “handicap room” yet my handicap parents were unable to open and close the slider door along with my kids.
I was also hardly able to open and close the door.
We called
Maintenance who attempted to clean and grease the door. This did not help. We also discovered the lock was broken so we couldn’t lock the back door.
I called Maintenance again who did fix the lock and attempted to fix the slider again to
Make it glide but it didn’t work.
The next day we noticed a tack strip was sticking straight up in the doorway of the master. I’m sure maintenance was sick of hearing from us so we laid towels over it so nobody pierced the bottom of their foot.
Water dripped off the 5th floor balcony onto our patio and soaked our belongings on our outside patio. I called to
Make them aware of this problem. It continued on and off the entire week.
Not sure what was dripping as it don’t appear anyone was in that condo.
The workout area was nice yet one of three treadmills was “out of order”. I got on a “good one” yet the belt kept jerking when you started running.
The pools and beach were very nice. The condo itself needed some basic upkeep done. I wouldn’t stay in this condo again.

Great location on the ground level right next to the hot tub and pool. The sliding door to the living room, does need some attention. It would. not stayed locked. You could tell this unit has some wear and tear, but overall, we enjoyed our stay!

We love this resort but had no choice in rooms since our reservation was canceled in a diff room we booked. This condo had just a couple items that were beach related. Colors were crazy. I understand not all beach rentals have a beach feel and funds are limited. Owners need to go in and at least wash the wash and doors down. Toaster and coffee pot were old and same with the pans. I wish renters would help take care of others property as much as we do.
Positive.... The beds were comfortable, bring your own pillow if you're picky. Location is great to parking lot and you are right outside next to the jacuzzi, good and bad depending if you like to hear everything that goes on in it. We didn't mind. Overall we will stay there again next year just a diff room. The property itself is very clean and nice.
If I could add one thing, there is no music that plays by the pool and no restaurant or bar.

We love the location of this property. We enjoy the facilities. Our biggest concerns are the carpet and outdoor chairs. 2 0f the chairs are broken and still there. The carpet in the bedrooms desperately needs to be taken out. The rest pf the condo is very nice.
