Description

Pelican 506 is decorated with chic coastal style with views of the bay and natural lighting throughout. This one bedroom, two bathroom condo includes a large private balcony overlooking the lazy river and Choctawhatchee Bay. The unit is located on a high floor for sweeping bayou views.

This vacation rental includes a master en suite, private alcove with bunk beds, living room with queen-size sleeper sofa, furnished kitchen, and in-unit washer and dryer. Each room includes an entertainment center and personal storage. The master en suite is decorated with a king-size bed, entertainment center, and views of the Gulf of Mexico and Okaloosa Island.

The condo offers free WiFi and convenient access to the amenities.

Hello! This was my first time visiting Florida and we just had the best time with my family . It was a short vacation but for sure we will be back to this property. We loved how much you put in on making this property feel like a beach house. The decor was beautiful and we felt right at home. The view was great and my kids loved the bunk beds! Thank you so much this property It was perfect for my family. I would recommend this place for sure :)

The amenities were great! The Unit we were in was dirty with old furniture. 1 of the balcony chairs was broken and they were rusty. The couch sank to the floor. The ottoman chair was super dirty. We pulled out blankets to cover the furniture. And added pillows to the couch so as not to sink so deep. I had to keep washing my feet if I didn't wear shoes.

Great location--we really enjoyed the Destin West amenities. The condo itself has definitely been well loved over many vacations--it could use a little updating and a thorough cleaning. I'm probably spoiled by staying in AirBnBs that provide everything under the sun, but the supplies here are pretty basic(no dish soap, one kitchen towel but no other kitchen linens, etc.) Plenty of towels and washcloths, and at least I didn't have to worry about my kiddos messing up someone's pristine furniture just by sitting on it!

The condo was perfect. Bed slept heavenly. Nice decor, a little small on the couch but adequate for us. Only complaint we had was the patio furniture was very dated, and rusted. Could only sit in 2 of the chairs - the other 2 were wobbly and unstable.

We had a wonderful time and the view was just beautiful! I was disappointed that the guest next door was smoking every time we went out on the balcony. I thought it was a smoke free resort. And guests were smoking around the pool as well. We had a great vacation and the beds were so comfy! All the supplies were just what we needed and it was so clean and nice. We have stayed several times at Destin West always a great place to stay. I would Only recommend that the outside table and chairs be replaced. The legs are bent and rusted on the bottom. One morning as I was getting up from the chair it scraped across the top of my foot and cut me. But the salt water from the ocean fixed it right up!

This area is perfect! It is across from restaurants, beach and perfect bayside condo! Loved having the lazy river, pools, etc. the condo was comfortable and the air works AMAZING in this unit. I loved everything about the condo an the area. I have 2 boys, 10 and 13 years of age, they enjoyed the pools. Thank you DestinWest.

The dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed

Arrived after waiting for maintenance to do the final check. Could not believe how dirty the entire condo was. We could write our names in the dust, sand on the floor and counter in the kitchen. Floors and floorboards dirty. Carpet was so dirty, we could not walk barefoot or in our socks. All cushions including those on bar stools were stained. Comforter and curtains in the master were worn with tears. No blinds in bedroom—curtains did not stay together which did not provide privacy as people walked by. Bathtub was clogged. Shower liner had mildew and despite promise of replacement, it never happened. Patio tiles were very dirty—we tried to vacuum with vacuum in the closet but it did not work. Dirt slashed on the side wall of balcony. Track of balcony door so dirt that it was difficult to close door. We arrived on a Tuesday and despite multiple calls, it was not cleaned until Thursday. Despite the effort of housekeeping, we were told that they only did surface cleaning. We asked to be moved x3 without success. I did not feel much concern from office staff just blamed housekeeping and owner but was not allowed to speak to those people. My family and I have stayed at these condos many times in the past, but not again.
