Sandpiper Penthouse 1 is a one bedroom, two bathroom pent house suite is on the highest floor for panoramic views and bright natural light throughout.

This vacation rental includes a master en suite, bunk room, living room with queen-size sleeper, full kitchen, and in-unit washer and dryer. Each room includes entertainment centers and personal storage. The master en suite is decorated with a king-size bed, private patio access, Jacuzzi tub, and large walk-in shower.

The two-story private balcony offers remarkable views and the modern décor and furnishings make this penthouse suite the perfect backdrop to any luxurious beach vacation. Perfect for families, couples, work trips and more!

Love the room and the views are amazing. Until we went to get our daily workout in. Apparently at some point after booking there was an HOA issue. The homeowner decided not to pay for the fitness center. We weee never informed of this. The website STILL isn’t updated to indicate that access is not for all units. So now we are here on vacation enjoying ourselves, eating great, but not able to get our daily workouts in that we are used to. Next time we will search for a unit that allows this access. The resort should have grandfathered previous bookings in, and maybe update their website

The kids had a wonderful time. Staff were all friendly from check in, beach access, the pool areas. It was nice to have access to both bayside and gulf activities. The room could use some maintenance and a deep clean but overall I would stay there again. I enjoyed the view each morning while drinking my coffee and watching the dolphins in the bay.

Comfortable stay at Sandpiper PH1. Beautiful roof top views. Well stocked kitchen, stylish decor throughout. Perfect size for the 2 adults and 3 kids in our party. Also, it goes without saying, but Destin West offers great amenities to keep the kids happy. Endless pools, lazy rivers, hot tubs, fishing in the harbor, and obviously the beach.

Stayed in a penthouse. Windows were disgustingly dirty and couldn't see out of them, the washing machine was broken, the microwave was broken, the beds were absolutely miserable. We had to go out to buy a mattress pad to make it slightly bearable. Seriously, worst bed I've ever slept in.

There is no housekeeping at all. They won't even give you towels. Our smoke detector battery was dying. They didn't change that out either and reluctantly gave us a battery to change it our self.

I highly do not recommend staying here.

It was our second year vacationing at Destin West. The grounds are very clean and beautifully landscaped. The staff is wonderful. Our condo was clean but the furniture really needs updated. The sliding glass door to the balcony needs replaced, it was foggy looking like the seal was broke . Overall it was a great vacation and I would recommend Destin West for your next vacation.

The unit was very old and all the furnishings were stained or beat up. The comforter was covered in white lint. Called the property and they immediately sent head of housekeeping and we washed comforter. Still covered in white lint but I knew it was clean. We cut our stay short due to condition of the unit. Looks and feels dirty due to age of bathroom counters , baseboards and flooring and paint needs to be refreshed. Property management here is fantastic but this unit dues not live up to expectations or the look of the rest of the property. Decorated very cute but it’s way too old and used feeling. Balcony furniture was old and rusted.

This place was beautiful. The penthouse view was incredible. It was great to watch sunsets and sunrises, and it was easy to get in and out of. Nice furnishings and comfortable beds. It was a great experience. The furniture outside and on the roof could be better, but all in all, it was a spectacular stay.

Well it started out very bad and ended up ok. When we arrived the refrigerator smelting dead fish. The maintenance guys came and tried to cover it up with cherry spray.after me asking they got something stronger to clean it with. It took 2 hrs to get rid of the smell. The wifi only worked in one room. The elevator was broken.but after all that we had a good. Stay.
