The Destin Seafood Festival is a family-friendly event on the Destin Harbor with free admission. Come join us October 4-6, 2019 along the Destin Boardwalk for a great weekend of seafood, live music, arts and crafts, and family fun.
The Destin Seafood Festival has been a staple in the community for more than 40 years. Every October the historic Destin Harbor and Harbor BoardWalk are lined with local food vendors and several music stages. More than 60,000 locals and visitors attend each year.
What to do at the Destin Seafood Festival
There’s something for the whole family, including a petting zoo, rock climbing wall, and zip line for the kids. On Sunday, the annual "fish throwing contest" is for kids 12 years old and up. Also called the Mingo Toss, the contest takes place on top of the hill at Royal Melvin Heritage Park.
Don't miss out on fresh caught local seafood as well as food from other area vendors. The Destin Seafood Festival hosted local restaurants such as The Red Door Saloon, Bucks Smokehouse, Harry T's Lighthouse, and Asiago Skillet in the past.
Music stages provide near constant entertainment starting at 4 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Last year local acts took the stage such as Just Add Fire, I'magene, and Grape Drink. While the Destin Seafood Festival is free and open to the public, the VIP section offers patrons exclusive access to a private seating area that overlooks the Destin City Stage, complimentary and unlimited food and refreshments, a festival T-shirt, and festival poster.
Getting to the Destin Seafood Festival
Parking can be tricky during the Destin Seafood Festival, but there is a shuttle that offers service to patrons who park offsite. While some lots offer free parking, others charge a fee for the day. It's best to walk, bike, or take the shuttle if possible.
