Holland Farms
Over 150 years old, Holland Farms is a family run crop farm that is an operating relic of a different time. The small farm produces fresh peanuts and often grows seasonal crops such as pumpkins, sunflowers, and watermelon for festivals and their year-round market.
Farm to Table
Holland Farms takes "farm to table" to heart by selling directly to the community instead of through a whole sale distributor. The family has been growing these crops to help serve the community for multiple generations. When asked about his passion for the crops, current farmer BJ Holland noted in a 2019 interview with WEAR3, "It's a way of life for me, it's always been a way of life for me. It's how I want to raise my kids."
Pumpkin Patch
The Holland Farm Pumpkin Patch is their biggest event of the year. The festival includes family friendly activities like tractor rides, a corn maze, zip lines, petting zoos, and local vendors. The festival of course also includes pumpkin and sunflower patches where festival goers can pick out their own crops to take home with them.
The festival typically runs from September-November and operates every day from dawn to dusk. Folks travel from 100s of miles away for the fall festival, and best and biggest pumpkins around.
