My family has stayed at Destin West 3 times now and we all agree this unit is the best one yet! The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Side note: bring your own dish sponge/ dish soap/ dish detergent. The rental company does not provide these. We knew this from previous rental experience, so not a big deal at all. There was an issue with the locking mechanism of the glass sliding door that was reported and fixed by maintenance promptly. The condo decor was lovely and had a great beach feel to it. All of the beds were comfortable—- to our liking. The master bed did make a lot of noise when turning over and getting in and out of bed, but was not bothersome. We all love the fact that we had our own private front yard to the pool and hot tub. I will definitely recommend staying at this unit. Love the fact that the unit includes beach table and chairs during summer season!

You can’t beat this location. The patio was stocked with the perfect furniture with floats, chairs, and a wagon to use. The only negatives we had were mold in the shower, master bedroom bed was terribly uncomfortable, and the tvs were not smart tvs which made it hard to find a quick show for the littles. Would stay here again every time if those things were updated/fixed.

We love the location of the condo, but the ice maker did not work, the master bathroom walls needed repair between the shower and the bathtub. The sofa needed cleaning or replacing as it was stained. The sliding glass needed repairs as it was very hard to open and close. We smelt pot being smoked throughout the day which is unacceptable when I had my grandkids! I’ve stayed here every year since you opened and never had this problem!

Overall the condo was fine. It has been updated and we enjoyed the proximity to the beach and pool. The kitchen was pretty well equipped for cooking, but not dishwashing so take your own sponges or dishtowels. The washer and dryer could use a door because they are extremely loud. My hangup in giving a better review mostly has to do with the cleanliness when we arrived. It appeared the bathrooms had not been cleaned only TP replaced. There were things on the countertops which would indicate they weren't even wiped down and a lot of hair still in the shower. The master bath appears to have a moisture problem because there is mold/mildew growing in the shower and paint peeling off the wall near the floor. Paint can be overlooked, but find someway to get ventilation to the shower and wipe the mold off the ceiling so guests feel the room is clean.

I have definitely paid less for a cleaner, more put together condo.

The location of this unit is perfect, pool right off of the patio and beach access steps away out the front door. We had a broken shower head in the smaller bathroom upon arrival, but it was fixed promptly. Close and walking distance to many restaurants, short drive to Destin, I would stay here again!

Lots of restaurants and a coffee shop within walking distance and a grocery store about a mile away. Despite the cool weather we could sit on the patio and enjoy the sunshine without the wind. It was great to be able to reserve chairs on the beach a couple days when we planned to relax. Hubby had trouble walking in the sand but could easily use the boardwalk to take in the views of the beach and ocean at sunrise and sunset! We'll definitely be back!

We always enjoy staying at Destin West! We typically stay in a different condo but this year 104 was the only one available and of course we loved it too! I would say if I were to change anything it would be the chair rental situation. We get in line around 7:00 and have to wait 2 hours to get chairs. We just want to make sure we have a front row. Other than that no complaints here

GREAT, We didn't want to come back home. We plan to stay a week next summer. We may stay a month during the fall, winter, or spring. We are at retirement age now and have been coming to Ft. Walton Beach since 1977. It was called Ramada Beach Resort then. We love it.

We had a great 3 months at Destin West. Our condo is very nice & equipped with everything we need. This was our 2nd year staying in this condo. The owners are great she was in contact with us & if we needed anything just ask. We will be staying there again next year. We love the location walking distance to restaurants & close to Destin.
