This 4th-floor vacation rental has premium upgrades and offers a great view of the Gulf of Mexico and the Lagoon pool. It offers wonderful pier and sunset views just steps away from the pool and beach access.

The beautiful master en suite has been remodeled with a new vanity, granite top, faucet, and fixtures. The bunk room includes a set of bunk beds, an entertainment center, and an upgraded private bathroom. There is a full kitchen in the unit with a furnished dining table.

The living room includes a queen-sized sleeper sofa with an upgraded mattress, coastal furniture, and an entertainment center.

We had an amazing time in Gulfside Unit 403 at Destin West. It was very comfortable for our family of 4 with 2 young children. The Destin West Gulfside facility was very well maintained. The unit's proximity to both the beach/pool elevator was unbeatably convenient. We took advantage of the pool, and beach daily, and usually visited the Bayside lazy river at night. We were really pleased with the service of the included beach chairs, though I had to be down there daily at 9 when the beach hut opened to reserve our chairs for the day. Any later and we struggled to get a spot. We had chairs in front row, second row and third row, throughout the week, though none was uncomfortable or inconvenient. The Gulfside pool was always available and never too full to get chairs for the day. The chairs on Gulfside had seen better days, and may be ready to update sometime soon. The Bayside chairs were much newer. Speaking of the Bayside/Gulfside, we were really happy we chose to stay Gulfside. Not only was it nice to wake up to the ocean every day, the gulfside as a whole was much more relaxed and the Bayside was much more of a party atmosphere and not right for our family. Would probably be good for families with older children. we new we'd be in the ocean every day, so being able to simply walk downstairs to the beach with our towels, cooler and sand toys, was a win win for us. I can't imagine lugging that stuff from Bayside every day. The unit itself, was adorable, well laid out, and fully stocked. It came stocked with games and movies, sand toys, and beach chairs. It was well stocked with silverware, pots/pans, dishes and cups. I will confirm the comment that one or two of the pans weren't as non-stick as we are used to but this was by no means an issue, just needed more oil to cook with. Our only other minor complaint was that we weren't supplied a dish rag, and only given 1 dish towel. We had to pick these items up at the store. We also had to purchase dish soap, laundry detergent, hand soap, and shampoo/conditioner though we assumed we would need to purchase these items. There were some small sample shampoo/conditioner samples in each restroom but certainly not enough for our family for the week. The master bed was extremely firm, but the two bunk beds were nice and soft, and there were plenty of blankets and pillows provided. Overall we were so pleased with our stay, and are already making plans to stay here again next year. Thank you for a great vacation.

This unit is located so close to the beach it is a quick easy walk down to the ocean. It has a wonderful view of the beach from the balcony as well as the living room if you open the curtains. The weather was a bit chilly so we did not use the pools but the hot tub was great, enough room for several people. The room was furnished with everything we needed. We had a great anniversary get away and would love to return to this unit.

We have stayed at Destin West many times. We love the location, pool choices, lazy river, and hot tub! This was our first time staying in a 1 bedroom and it did not disappoint! Our 3rd son ended up coming along ( he originally wasn’t supposed to, hence the smaller unit) and we still had plenty of room! 403 is stocked and has the best view. We can’t wait to return!!

We love Destin West Gulf!! This is our 4th stay and will highly recommend it to family & friends. The condo was roomy, well decorated and clean with everything you need and more provided for you. The views of the Gulf and pool from your balcony are amazing! The resort has great pools, hot tub and work out room as well as a lazy river across the street. It is right on the beach with beach chairs and umbrella just waiting for you to occupy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again!!

We were well received and the process of getting in and out was easy. Great location, very accessible to both Destin and FWB. Our unit had a great view, was nicely decorated and furnished. November is a great time to go; no crowds or traffic and the rates are lower. We’ve also stayed over at Waterscape, which is comparable. We’ll return and stay here again.

This unit is beautifully furnished and well-maintained. Numerous extra touches to make the guests feel pampered while vacationing. (Games, movies, books). Very clean unit! In the morning, the views are beautiful. In the evening, it is amazing to watch the sunset. Nice and quiet location. The owner of this unit provides superior customer service. The condos are perfectly located close to Ft. Walton Publix as well as numerous restaurants. I would definitely recommend this unit to a friend or a relative. We love #403 at the beach.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay in Destin West Gulfside #403. Everything was as described. The townhouse was clean and well supplied. The view of the Gulf and the pool were excellent. The beach service included with the rental was greatly appreciated. Experienced a couple of things that could have been better. When we first arrived we had to call to figure out where the check-in location was. The sliding glass door to the balcony was extremely heavy and hard to open and close. It was kind of annoying in the mornings to have someone blowing off the pool deck with a leaf blower while trying to enjoy breakfast on the balcony. I had thought ahead to bring my Firestick because I didn't know what kind of TV or streaming were available but knew they had free Wifi. I didn't want to have to log in to streaming services on a new device. This turned out to be a good decision because we couldn't get any of the connected devices in the living room to work. The weekend when we arrived the elevator nearest our room wasn't working properly, but by Monday it was fixed. All of these things were relatively minor and we had a very enjoyable stay for our anniversary.

The condo is nice and just as described. The location is great. No complaints at all there. On those two things I would definitely recommend. Having said that I’ve stayed at several condos through VRBO, and while these things are not deal breakers, other condos have been much more focused on making the stay easier/nicer.

Example. They charge you $40 (which ends up being about $50 with taxes and fees) if you lose the bracelet that they make you wear on the grounds. At $3000 per week I think this is a little bit insulting and unnecessary. Ours actually got stolen at the beach and I imagine it’s because some other guest didn’t want to pay the $50 I think this is taking advantage of guests.

The other thing I was surprised by is that there were no beach towels. I’ve never experienced that before and so we had to buy some. There was also only one garbage bag, only one packet of dishwasher detergent, no dish soap, no laundry soap, and two rolls of toilet paper. I realize that not all places are required to provide those things but I’ve never been at a place that was so skimpy. These are all things that we end up having to buy and I don’t think it would be all that much to either stock a few of them for the guests or at least leave the ones that prior guests bought. In the past when we’ve rented a condo and paid this much for it, you didn’t have to stock the condo with pretty much everything. Like I say, the unit itself and location were fantastic, but these little touches that most condos provide and eliminating the dumb bracelet fee would be great improvements.

It was amazing and met our expectations! The view was spectacular. The beach was amazing and family friendly. Condo and the external amenities were clean and the pools , hot tubs and lazy rivers were awesome. So great that we be back again and hopefully not waiting a whole year to do so.

This unit was clean, very well stocked with kitchen essentials for cooking, and quick access to the beach. My only complaint was the dryer made a terrible screech. Maintenance was prompt in checking it out and will have to order a part. The front desk quickly gave us extra towels and washcloths because using the dryer was nerve racking. Beautiful view of the white sandy beaches!! It also included beach service and that made going to the beach with children much easier!! I would stay here again!

All went well at the rental unit. Too bad the weather didn't agree. Unit as described. Most enjoyable view. Only two days were beach friendly but loved having chairs and umbrella. Wonderful perk.

WOW! A clean condo with breathtaking views. We spent hours on the beach as well as on the balcony overlooking the beach as well as the pool/hot tub area. We enjoyed playing the games the owner provided in the unit as well as some DVDs the owner provided. This property description is accurate. The beach service which was provided was so relaxing...chairs and an umbrella. So many restaurants within walking distance. Our family enjoyed seeing nurse sharks, manta rays, and dolphins. It was a memorable trip.

The condo was exactly as expected. The beach and pool were great and kept clean. The beach service is a plus! So much better than lugging a bunch of stuff to the beach. Some days I still used the beach chairs stored in the master closet (so convenient!). We’ve stayed at Destin West before but this is the first time in this condo. I really liked that it’s so close to the beach and has a beautiful view, especially for Wednesday night fireworks. My only complaint would be the elevator nearest the unit is out of service but while eating and drinking on vacation stairs weren’t a terrible idea.

The resort is perfect with great amenities. The room we had was clean and I felt at home. The condo had all the little necessities tip stay your week out.

We had a wonderful experience with our condo. It was the perfect location with easy access to the beach and pool. Very family friendly. Our kids had a wonderful time with the kids they met. Would stay there again!

I have rented several different condos in Destin West over the years. I have to say this was the VERY BEST! The owners of this condo think of everything to make you feel at home and very clean. I gave it a FIVE STAR.
