Description

This charming two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit has modern décor and a luxurious veranda. This vacation rental includes direct access to the oceanside pool and includes a spacious private patio. It sleeps nine comfortably with extra bedding to include a bunk room.

The master en suite includes a king-size bed and entertainment center. The guestroom has a queen-sized bed, and the bunk room includes bunk beds. Each room has its own entertainment center. The family room has a queen-sized sofa sleeper for additional guests.

There are entertainment centers in each room of Gulf 106. A DVD library is included, with plenty of family-friendly titles. In addition to the DVD players, there are smart TVs, Blu-Ray, a Wii Game console, and free WiFi throughout.

The unit includes a full kitchen, a laundry area with an in-unit washer and dryer, and free WiFi.

We stayed in gulf 116 and it exceeded our expectations. It was clean and close to the pools, hot tubs and beach. It was a quick walk to the lazy river. We loved being on the ground floor because of the patio and convenient walk to the beach and pool. There is a fishing pier and several restaurants within walking distance. We had a ride range of ages from 4 yrs old to teens to 50’s and every had a great time. We have already booked again for next year.

G106 was at a great location, but the quality of the condo was sub-optimal. We found moldy baseboards in some of the rooms. There was mold in master shower. The ice-maker did not work. The walls throughout the condo showed a substandard paint job. The master bathroom sink was stopped-up, and someone had to come and fix that. We dealt with many Omar’s flying around in the kitchen. The only good aspect of the condo was its proximity to beach access. We stay at Destin West every year, mostly on the bay side which the condos are much nicer. Also, the water at the lazy river was too hot, it’s very difficult to cool off from outside temps in very warm water. Also, the water fall at the lazy river was not functioning and was actually taped off. And, a snake was found near the Gulf side pool area. This year’s experience at Destin West was not good. We are considering somewhere else for next year.

room was very dirty, floors were not clean, counter tops were dirty, blender was broken, coffee pot was broken, blinds in the living room were broken, shelf in the bathroom was hanging off the wall, pools were extremely cold (even the kids thought so. Therefore everyone was crammed into the two small heated pools. Not sure I would pay this price to stay here again.

We love staying on the first floor at Destin West and being able to just walk out to the pool or beach. No stuffy elevators or stairs to climb! This condo had everything that we needed in the way of utensils, pot & pans, etc. There were just a couple things that were disappointing. The sheets in the master bed are very cheap and worn. You could feel the pill balls on the sheets from many, many washings. Also, for a condo that sleeps 8, there were only 4 large bath towels (2 in each bathroom). I had to end up walking over to the office for more after never getting them from housekeeping per my first call. I called again the next day and was told it would be faster if I went to the office. For the price of rental, I would expect better sheets and definitely more towels. The one thing that I was pleasantly surprised was that there were no drain gnats/flies. If you have ever stayed at the condos on the gulf side, you probably have experienced these pesty gnats. I have stayed at several different condos on the gulfside and experienced the same, so I came prepared with vinegar, salt and baking soda, but never saw a single gnat. One last thing that I think would be a great add -- a Smart TV. Anyone staying there could then log into their own Netflix, Hulu, etc to watch a movie at night. Otherwise, a great location ... we love Destin West Beach Resort! This was our 6th time staying there.

We were on the first floor which gave us a larger patio area. Our unit was in a good location not far from the garage, pool and hot tub outside our door, a short walk to the ocean. We had a two bedroom& two bathrooms
It was great that we had a washer / dryer especially since we were there for two months. . The unit itself needs some updating. The master bath must of had a water leak around the shower different areas were patched up. Having guests it was very comfortable. I would recommend the tile floors should be steamed cleaned. Yes, there were some issues but on the total time there we were very happy in the unit. I would recommend the unit. We did reserve it again for next year and we are looking forward to coming back.

We love staying at Destin west and recommend to everyone we know. It’s always so clean and everyone is nice, except for the “security” at the pool that is rude every time we are there. Luckily that doesn’t ruin anything, of course. We are already planning our next stay
