We stay at G306. I was surprised to walk into an upgrade wood floor vs carpet like the pictures. Wall paint look new. The ocean view is beautiful. The bed are not comfortable but that’s not a big issue. The property have so much offer for kids on bay side. I see people swim or catch crabs, fish from bay side. We will do that next time. You don’t need a license to fish because the bayside with pier are consider private property. Kids under 8 don’t required bands. Bands are 40$ if you loose it so I didn’t let any kids wear them because I don’t trust them. Bands are a one size rubber band so it definitely doesn’t fit my kids. Main entrance to the pool will check for it but they don’t check kids. The bayside have beautiful view for photography. Gulf side hot tub always have full of adult chill around it. But the hot tub on bayside is full of kids. It give a more kids friendly environment. Condo G306 is a wonderful location to chill on your balcony and watch firework. You can hear the Island resort bar music if you sit on the balcony at night, but don’t really hear it when we close all the door. It’s a short walk to the boardwalk. It’s a short drive to Publix but the traffic is always crazy during holiday. You can rent jetski on the beach or bayside. The unit come with one free umbrella and two beach chairs. But you must go down there early morning to reserve your spot first around 9AM when they open . This will guarantee a spot. We didn’t know and come out late at 1PM and they only have one umbrella with no chair and they set it up all the way to the back . parking garage is convenient, we just park on third floor and walk into our unit. The property have plenty of carts for unload at anytime. It’s close to the trash chute. We never have to call for maintenance on anything. Everything work well for us during our short stay. In general it is a great location, great unit that just got update. Minor problems we mention above but that’s nothing in our opinion. We will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay at Destin West G306. The property description and pictures were accurate; and we were very pleased with the pleasant beach decor. The fresh paint inside the unit and around the whole exterior of the property looked great. The property was clean and well-maintained. We especially enjoyed the close proximity (walking distance) to the Boardwalk and the fishing pier where there are restaurants and shops. My granddaughters really enjoyed the Luau Beach Party at the Boardwalk on Friday night. The Lazy River on the bay side is also one of our favorite amenities here. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and relatives.

We always enjoy our time at this resort. Unit 306 was overall good, but could use some updating/deep cleaning. As noted in previous reviews, the master shower has black slime all over the bottom inside door. The floors are dirty & sticky. I realize this can't be helped to some degree with sand being tracked in, and people not treating a rental like their own home and spraying on sunscreen inside the unit. But, something more than just a quick mop between renters in needed. Also, the chairs stacked on the balcony outside the master bedroom are heavily rusted. The seat on one of them is completely broken away from the side. These should all be replaced.
The property itself is really good. Location is great with restaurants and shops in walking distance. A large gulf side pool that never really seems too crowded, although there could be more tables/umbrellas available. There is plenty of room for it and more lounge chairs would likely be appreciated during peak times. It is a short, scenic drive through the dunes to Destin. This unit included beach service.

Unit was little outdated and less essentials provided than we thought. No dish soap, hand soap, laundry detergent to name a few. Plus maintenance was slow to respond; only had 1 working sink in master entire week, even though we called first day. Aside from that the beds were very comfortable, plenty of room for family of 6, and east access to beach. Very family friendly and good fitness center.

We had a nice stay and love the area. This is our 5th time coming and staying at the Destin West. We have stayed in other rooms that are very nice and clean. This room not so much. The condo needs some extra cleaning (especially the master bath) and upgrades. The master bath, there was BLACK mold all around the bottom of the shower door and a few other places. The blankets on the bed were stained. The carpet was so gross we would not walk on it unless we had socks on. There were stains all over the carpet and furniture. A few of the kitchen cabinets, the white front panel was coming off on a few of the drawers. The microwave had a yellow label on it saying to hold the bottom of the door when opening or closing. There was tape on the door handle of the microwave. We had issues with the small appliances. Tried to go the the front office to talk to someone about all this issues we had, but the office was close. Also when we checked in the staff that was working was not at all friendly. The staff has always been so friendly and nice. The staff that I and a few other family member's that day that checked in also said they were not friendly and felt like it was a huge inconvenience for them to check us in.. For the price you pay for these condo's you would think they would make sure things are clean and working well.
Love the area and have stayed at other condos that were clean with upgrades. Will be back but not to this room unless improvements have been made.

Love staying at Destin West the pools/lazy River, close access to beach, easy check in & check out. The unit we stayed in this time is dated & needs some updates. It worked for our needs though.

We had a nice stay and love the area. The condo needs some extra cleaning (especially the master bath) and upgrades. We did have issues with the small appliances but they were replaced right away when we brought this to the attention of the management company. Love the area and have stayed at other condos that were clean with upgrades. Will be back but not to this room unless improvements have been made.

This unit is a nice condo on the gulf side of the resort with a good view of the beach / ocean. It was very quiet with the exception of noise from The Island Resort next door from 9-10 am and evening (i.e., cheerleading camp / practice in the morning and noise from the bar in the evenings). There were a few inconveniences that would've made the stay better had they been offered such as Kleenex/tissues in the bathrooms, dish cloth to wash dishes in the kitchen, drying rack or place to put wet dishes, small bottle of dish soap, hangars in the closets and screens on the sliding doors. The shower stall in the master needs to be replaced as does some of the furniture throughout. However, it appeared that the resort is in the process of replacing the furniture. There were a couple of days during our stay when we had employees on our deck doing updates. It would have been nice to know that this would occur though the workers were as quiet as possible. The pools were freezing and the hot tubs were not consistently open. Our unit (#306 Gulf Side) included daily beach setup which was awesome, as it would have cost $40 per day for an umbrella and 2 chairs. The check-in process was very easy though we didn't know that we were supposed to check in across the street from our building, as this information was not included during the reservation process. But we figured it out after wandering around with another family having the same dilemma. The resort location is good, as you are within walking distance of the Boardwalk that has multiple restaurants and a few stores. We definitely appreciated the garage parking and keyless entry.
