This beachfront unit's private balcony offers sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico with tables and seating to enjoy sunrise and sunset as well as meals al fresco by the sea!

The rental has unobstructed views of the emerald coast throughout and includes a master en suite, guest room, bunk room, living room, and fully furnished kitchen. Each room includes its own entertainment center and the living room includes an extra queen size sleeper sofa. The master en suite is additionally furnished with a king-size bed and a private bathroom with a garden tub and walk-in shower.

This is our 10th year staying at Destin West and the 1st time staying in G601. We love Destin West facilities, beach access and view. We had a few issues with our condo.
Pro: balcony view is the best of all the condos we have saved in
Con: the condo is in need of a lot of maintenance.
examples:
-entry door lock doesn't line up so you have to lift the door through the handle to close the door every single time - my teenager couldn't close the door
-sliding door to balcony required 2 hands and my full body weight to open - I under the beach weather etc can affect the sliding function but this was by far the worst we have encounter at the various condos we have stayed at
-microwave didn't work - it ran but never heated up - was going to call property manager but I didn't want to waste my time waiting for a repair person
-new dishwasher to small for the space and not secured so it falls forward every time it is opened-I thought it was doing to fall our on me, also insulation around the machine is exposed and hanging out
-bedroom 2 (front room) - must have a roof leak that hasn't been repaired b/c the ceiling paint/drywall is bubbled up and about to fall off in a 1ft x 1ft area-luckily not above bed or we would have refused the room
-paint on room 2 door, closet doors, bathroom door - large areas are peeled off
-master - hook on back of bathroom door pulled out and partially re-attached
-paint on master room door, closet doors, bathroom door - large areas are peeled off exposing the natural door color underneath
-floors throughout were dirty when we arrived-our feet were black after walking barefoot for 5 mins - I understand we are at the beach but it wasn't sand, it was dirt leading to our black feet.
-TVs are dated so can't use any of the streaming services. you saved money by not having premium channels but renters can't use their own streaming services since the TVs aren't capable.

The unit needed some maintenance to improve cosmetic issues such as peeling paint on several doors and walls. The double hook on back of master bedroom door was pulled out and just hanging. The hall bathroom shower needed ceramic tile repaired in floor of shower. The cleanliness of the unit was not the greatest as both drains in the master bathroom needed to be cleaned out to drain better. There was no bar hand soap in either of the two bathrooms, just sample shampoo and conditioner. When this was reported to the front desk, no action was taken to remedy the situation and no explanation given as to why.The large swimming pool and the lazy river were dirty most of the time, even in the morning when the filter should have cleaned the pool overnight. We have stayed in this unit before and feel that we will be looking for another unit for future visits.

We have stayed here six times and we love coming here because it is a quiet place that right on the beach and has great swimming pools and a lazy river. There are restaurants nearby and it's the best place to go to relax and the best value for the money

We had a great week in this condo. The location is close to the beach and an elevator. The view doesn't get any better. You can see the beach, bay, and Destin. The condo was very clean upon arrival. A few dishes weren't the cleanest, but I blame previous vacationers for that. The exhaust fan in the master bathroom had a bunch of grossness in it, hanging down. And the dishwasher clogged up and didn't drain the one time we used it. The office staff were easy to reach and sent maintenance for the dishwasher. Overall a great spot. You can't beat the view. Would rent again.

We had a very nice time, the beach was beautiful and ocean so clear. You could see the dolphins swimming in the ocean daily on the balcony. The pool and lazy river was very nice. Location was great, walkable restaurants and entertainment. The condo was efficient, amazing views, and was nice to hear the ocean all the time. The only bad thing in this condo was the outdated showers. They are moldy, tile and shower head are old. For as high cost they are asking for they need a remodeled. There was a leak in the ceiling in the second bedroom by the front door that had not been addressed since the last review had mentioned it. The beds we're comfortable. I would stay there again if the showers were updated.

3rd time staying in this unit. Can't beat the view but the unit is looking worn out. We were happy to see the unit freshly painted and new sinks and solid surface countertops. Hopefully the improvements will continue.

If you don't enjoy watching beautiful sunrises while sipping on coffee in the morning and viewing spectacular sunsets from your balcony in the evening, then stay home. If you enjoy pelicans soaring just above the waves and watching dolphin jump as they search for breakfast each day, then this location in a MUST for you! The staff was wonderful, welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Great time and a great value.

We have stayed in this building for the past 4 years, but in different units. This one has a wonderful full view of the beach and ocean, and you can view both sunrise and sunset from the balcony which is what we wanted. Everything functioned well and check in and out was easy as it always has been. Beach service was included which is a plus. You do have to get down to the beach early some days to get a good spot. This unit had 2 bedrooms and bunk beds next to the front door. Some of the furniture, especially the living room, is a touch dated and has seen some wear, but functional and comfortable. Everything in the kitchen worked well. There were some water marks on the ceiling, likely from the last hurricane, and the closest elevator was not working, which took away a bit of convenience- options were using the stairs or walking down to the other elevator. The pools were in great condition and wonderful, it is nice having so many options including the lazy river. In the past, we have had access to the Island next door in the past, but that is not the case anymore apparently.

We really enjoyed our stay! The place we stayed at was really nice although there was some mold in the second bathroom. Loved that the rental included a set of beach chairs and umbrella. One thing that bothered me was the bar height table and chairs out on the balcony. Seems very dangerous if a toddler was to crawl up on one of those chairs, could easily tumble over. Would highly recommend getting a new lower set. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

It was good as always. My family and friends rent condo's there every year since it was built. NOT BEING ABLE TO GO THROUGH THE GATE TO THE HOTEL-BEACH-RESTAURANT IS A REAL INCONVENIENCE!!!! USE THE CODE LOCK LIKE ALWAYS BEFORE.

Beautiful complex with great amenities. Plenty of room in the condo and a brand new high top table and chairs on our balcony. Pots and pans could use an upgrade, but if that's all there is to complain about, it's a pretty fabulous place. The view is incredible and the staff friendly and accommodating. A shout out to David, the handyman, for fixing any problem we had very quickly. Great vacation! Highly recommend!
