This two bedroom, two bathroom condo includes a private high-floor balcony overlooking the lazy river and Choctawhatchee Bay. The suite professionally decorated with coastal flair, providing a beautiful backdrop to the perfect Gulf Coast vacation.

This vacation rental includes a master en suite, guest room, bunk room, living room with queen size sleeper sofa, breakfast bar, upgraded full kitchen, and in-unit washer and dryer. Each room has its own smart entertainment center and personal storage. The master en suite is decorated with a comfortable king-size bed, entertainment center, private balcony access, and redecorated private bath. The private bath includes a jacuzzi style tub, walk-in shower, and dual vanity.

The condo offers free WiFi and convenient access to the amenities.

The resort and the Sandpiper unit was perfect for our extended family. Destin West has a ton of pools to choose from, allowing kids to be entertained all day. The bridge to the beach was a big win for the family and allowed for access to the private beach, boardwalk and numerous dining locations. The sandpiper 506 unit had a great bay view, lots of room and was very clean. We loved hunting Hermet Crabs in the bay--We'll see you again next year!

We had a great time at Destin West. There were 8 of us and we had more than enough room in the condo and the patio was exceptionally nice and roomy. The staff was a delight to work with and the owner was very helpful. The condo was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We have been coming to Destin West for the last 6 years and have always enjoyed our stay. We love the convenance of having the pontoon rental place right next door and the bay and lazy river right out of our back door. It was a great stay and we really enjoyed out time there.

We truly enjoyed everything about our stay in Sandpiper 506. Miss it still! The master bedroom has a beautiful view of the bay and most comfortable king mattress. Very large master bath with a Jacuzzi Tub, huge fluffy towels and a super strong shower my husband loved. Fully stocked kitchen with anything you need, including a large blender which made great Icees for the kids, margs for the adults. The pool areas were wonderful - very clean, very family friendly. We floated in the lazy river daily. Walk across to the beach was simple, the condo had lots of toys for the kids, boogie boards, floats, etc. We didn't use the BBQ grills but there are a few on grassy area net to the bay. Located close to restaurants and the Gulfarium. Just across bridge from Destin. Grocery store is just minutes away. The bunk room for the kids so they had their own space to sleep. Large guest bedroom and attached bathroom worked great for two families. We highly recommend this property! Can't wait to go back!

Oh how my mom would have been in love. This unit is beautiful! You could hang out on the deck the entire time. The view is amazing. The unit itself was perfect! I could’ve stayed forever. The owner and staff were nice and helpful. We always love to eat at pier it’s so yummy! You just can’t beat Sandpiper 506!

We had a great time! Even though we stayed on the bay side it was nice to just walk over to the gulf side via the bridge to the ocean beach and amenities there. Fireworks on Wed nights, fishing pier and restraunt all within stone throwing distance. Not to mention the fresh water pools and lazy river just outside our door. Will stay again. Loved it!

We loved our stay at Sandpiper 506 and Destin West. The unit was so clean and beautifully decorated in a nice seaside decor. There are smart TV's in every bedroom and the living room along with excellent WiFi service which was important because I had to do some computer work. The beds were super comfy as was the sleeper sofa. Most of our time was spent floating on the lazy river and walking on the beautiful beach. This place is more like a resort hotel and Destin West is our new annual vacation spot. Sandpiper 506 is our favorite condo!

We had the most wonderful vacation here! Sandpiper 506 is beautifully decorated and the views are awesome. From the Living room and the Master bedroom you can see the beautiful bay and lazy river pools and from the guests bedrooms you have views of the beach and gulf shores. There are actually 3 bedrooms as the bunk room has a door and is private. All of the beds were super comfortable (we didn't use the sofa bed) and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to make meals. In the evenings, after enjoying the pools and the beach, we played board games and cards on the balcony. This is a great family resort and I can't wait to return this unit again next year--I highly recommend staying here!

Spent five weeks in February and March. Weather was great. Accommodations were good. Only complaint is the master bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. Lumpy and generally warn out. Appliances need to be upgraded.

We love Sandpiper 506, a home away from home. The bedrooms and living room have recently been updated and look great! It’s relaxing and everything is right there! Great for parents and two active boys, 8 & 12.
It does seem like it’s time to update the kitchen.

We stayed for several nights on the bay at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort. Then we moved to the beach side and enjoyed a different view. You are guaranteed a great time no matter which side you choose. You only have to choose Destin West Beach and Bay Resort.

It is a little trek over the bridge passed the other half of condos to the beach or the gym. The patio door didn’t lock tight we could still pull it open after being locked and the front door had a huge gap in the door. The bedroom by the road had a lot of road noise throughout the night so I’m glad I brought a fan to drown the noise out. The pans suck to cook in. Everything stuck to them. And with only 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom we had to buy more at Publix. The gym needs updating as well. If it’s the salt destroying the equipment maybe move the gym across the street to this side.

We came down for a volleyball tournament and just took a chance with this place and it definitely did not disappoint! It was clean and the location was PERFECT. We definitely will be staying again in the spring!

I was a litte concerned about staying during one of the busiest weeks of summer, July 4th weekend through, especially after a pandemic. But I was pleaseantly surprised that the Destin West never seemed overcrowded. It was busy but very family friendly and great. Our unit was fantastic, nice and clean. A quick tip but if you need more linens, don't hesitate to ask the Destin West front office. They will accommodate reasonable requests.

We love to go to Destin West! We had to leave early last September due to the hurricane and this year stayed the entire time. We love to be able to walk to the beach but then have the lazy river to relax in. It’s beautiful!

Sandpiper 506 is exactly as pictured and more! It provides amazing views which are of the Bay (North) from the living room, kitchen/dining, and master bedroom, and Gulf (South) from the guest room and bunk room (and yes, it’s a room... it has a door, tv, and storage under the bunk and in the stand that has a small fan... everything the kids needed). If you want to see a sunrise or sunset, plan to walk around the resort, dock, or beach.

Both bathrooms were spacious and had great water pressure in the showers. The master bathroom had a huge walk in closet which allowed us to store all our suitcases after unpacking. We were able to unpack everything as this unit had enough storage because of the amount of dressers, cabinets, and closets (hangers were provided).

All of the beds were clean and very comfortable including the pillows, linens, and comforters, and extra soft blankets.

The kitchen had everything you need to cook lunches or dinners. (Silverware, cups, glasses, bowls, plates, Tupperware, and kid cups and utensils, pans, pots, toaster, crock pot, etc.).

The unit had board games and cards, a beach umbrella, cooler on wheels, and 2 boogie boards (they both had cracks in the styrofoam but were usable... and May have been replaced since our stay).

The balcony had comfortable furniture and center table. The view overlooked the pool, hot tub, and lazy river.

I suggest sometime upon arrival someone in your family or your whole family needs to familiarize yourself with the routes to get places especially the elevators and floors needed, buildings to go to and through and overpass route toward the beach.

The partnership with The Island was an added bonus! We were able to use their beach, bar, pools, and even joined in to do their kid crafts. I recommend going to The Island’s website and checking their calendar to see all they offer daily.
