This villa suite is newly upgraded with modern décor. The high floor condo also includes a panoramic balcony for great natural light and breathe taking views of Okaloosa Island and the Gulf of Mexico.

This vacation rental includes a queen bed with memory foam, kitchenette, breakfast bar, two smart entertainment centers, sleeper sofa, and private balcony. The bathroom includes a luxurious garden tub, and large walk-in shower. The condo is tiled throughout.

We loved the property as a whole, we got beach chairs with our villa room 501, plus all the pools with the Bayside. It was nice to have everything close by, either beach or pool, and there is the pier or boardwalk so close. We also used Rick's across the street for a crab island trip, they were also wonderful and not having to drive was great.
All in all was wonderful, the bed was very noisy and not too comfortable. I was happy with the sofa bed though. Glad I thought of bringing extra sheets because there were none in room for sofa bed, so bring an extra set.
Everything else worked great, lots of hot water. Oh yes there is no dish detergent if you want to wash something, just dishwasher detergent. So bring dish soap.
Will definitely go again.

We had a wonderful stay! The villa was perfect for our small family. The only disadvantage was NO closet. The view was priceless as you could see the bay and the ocean. Having access to all the amenities plus what the Island offers was a plus, especially for the littles. We will definitely be back!!!

Unit 501 is nicely decorated, has two large televisions and a really nice view from it's wrap around balcony. It comes with beach chair service and is located just near the elevator to make getting to the pools and beaches very convenient. We enjoyed our stay and will be back again next year!

We loved the property and the amenities, but we got woken up the last 2 days Mon/Tues at 7am by trucks going in and out by our unit...that really sucked because we had stayed up late the nights we were there.

We enjoyed our 1 month stay In February.
The good: nice location. Walkable to several bars. Especially enjoyed happy hour at the Angler. Say hi to Destiny. Unit had a great view and balcony to enjoy it. Access to beach and pools. Very quiet. Tom Thumb nearby for snacks and beverages.

What was missing/could help make better: no washer/dryer. We had friends staying nearby with washer/dryer so unit worked for us, however. Would be nice if had shutters for window like opening between bedroom and living room area. No closet and no wall hooks. Knowing that from other reviews wr brought with an over the door wall hook unit which helped. Adding some wall hooks would be nice. There is a couple dressers which helped. Minimal cupboard/drawers. This unit probably best for shorter term stays but worked for us. Bed mattress ok but bed squeaks. Could use update especially frame and box spring. The patio door was hard to open. Cleaned track but still was hard to pull. Maintenance came and found it was off track but also needed new bearings. So was better and if /when bearings fixed should be great. It wasn’t filthy but was in need of deep cleaning. Since we were staying a month and had a few rainy days at beginning of our stay did some cleaning on our own with supplies from Dollar Tree. This included a deep clean of shower (bleach removed all mold - at least as of February), washed doors and walls as high as could reach, dusted upper walls, ceiling fixtures, deep cleaned kitchen, spot cleaned couch and wiped down all furniture and cabinets, mopped floor several times, mended tear found in decorative bed pillow. I tried to make it as spotless as possible for ourselves and the next guests. ( And yes I’m a bit of a clean freak. Brought my own vacuum with. There was a broom supplied though.)

Overall would stay there again in this unit.

This particular unit had a gorgeous view. The unit itself needs to be updated and maintenance and cleaning. The sliding door took my whole body weight to open and close the door.The bin on the patio is an unorganized mess with rusted and broken beach chairs and sand left in toys l Be very careful if you decide to use the only beach chair that actually opens because there are sharp rusted screws.The couch has stains on it. The bed was okay but everytime your spouse moves it will wake you up from the awful squeaks.The comforter and extra blanket needs to be washed or replaced. The tile in the shower looks nasty. I wore my flip flops the whole time.The baseboards were very dusty and the ceiling had cobwebs and took us two days to get clean towels and we had to buy our own toilet paper as they only provide two toilet papers for 5 days. There is no free beach service with this unit it is $55 a day.Make sure you do not drop your pool band in the secure mailbox on the gulf side because they will charge you $85.We had to check out extremely early and a worker at Destin west told us to leave our bands in the secure mailbox and they still charged us. I may be back to this resort but I will not stay in this particular unit until they update it. The parking garage had some chunks of concrete by our car one morning which seemed a little unsettling...They probably should check the infrastructure.

When I booked, the room included Beach Service; but apparently the owners didn't renew it, & also didn't tell anyone. I didn't receive a refund for this service that I paid for & never got to utilize. Room was dirty; someone used a shoe to kill a bug on the wall, leaving both the bug & shoe print. The resort itself was nice, but I wouldn't book this particular unit again.

The size of the condo was perfect for a small family, but it was not well kept. The floor left black residue on our feet even after we asked to have housekeeping come and mop again. The sofa had stains on it, which could easily be removed with the use of a wet vac. The sheets did not fit well on the bed or the sofa bed, and they had holes in them. The bed made obnoxious noises when we sat down and turned around in the bed, and it wasn’t super comfortable. We found the sofa kind of hard to get comfortable on as well. After paying as much as we did to stay there for a week, I would expect better. The amenities were nice to have and made our stay more pleasant. However, I overlooked the lack of a washer and dryer. We felt like the beach and the lazy river were right in our reach. I believe this condo is owned by Destin West, and not an individual owner like most are. This may be why it seemed more like a not well kept hotel room. We still enjoyed our stay overall. We just wish the condo was better kept.

The room is in a perfect location for food, parking, beach and all pools. Sleeper sofa could be updated,I slept on blowup mattress. This is the second time we stayed in this room.

The property was very nice. Our villa was convenient but could have some updates. Bed very squeaky and seemed small. Slider to balcony VERY hard to open. Would be nice to be able to reserve our beach chairs once for week and not have to stand in line every morning to get a chair. The pools were nice and the beach was wonderful.

The experience was great. The only problem we had was the bed every time you roll over or got in or out of bed it squeaked. Another issue we had was every time the a/c would kick on then off there was a fowl odor coming in, we did let the management no so it would be fixed for the people. Also since it does not have a closet it needs some more hooks in the bathroom and maybe some in the hall or other parts to hang things. But other than those things it was a great unit and we would stay here again.

I loved the location, you can see the beach from window and balcony. It is positioned right between beach and Bayside pools. Everything including parking was close by. The sofa sleeper was comfortable, but the bed was not. And bed made a lot of noise when you room over. All in all I will be back. The pools are wonderful, and so many to choose from. I stayed in v501.

This was our 3 rd year coming to this location but first year staying in a property owned by Destin West and was disappointed. The bed was extremely uncomfortable & SO loud. The couch had stains, we put a sheet over it. There was dust all over the lights in the bathroom, the toaster still had food in it from who knows when, the back door is extremely difficult to open & close. The person we spoke to at the front desk was rude and not professional. Only positive is the view was nice and the room did have everything you needed.

We had the best time! The room and views were amazing! The beach was right there and there were so many other activities close by that you really didn’t have to drive any place. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent this unit again!

Overall the experience was wonderful. We Will be staying at Destin West again. Only complaints about the room is the bed is noisy with any toss and turn- also I recommend getting a pan for cooking as there were pots but not a pan.

There was blood on the couch throw pillow. The couch was soooooo disgusting. Looks like it had never been cleaned before. Also no blankets for the couch bed.

Great location. The unit needs a thorough cleaning of bedspread and pillow set. Couch needs a thorough cleaning. Sliding door tracks need cleaned as door was extremely difficult to open and close. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and rental management company was awesome in planning our trip as well as information when we arrived and during our stay.
