Description

This villa is located at Destin West Beach and Bay Resort on Okaloosa Island. The villa offers breathtaking views of Choctawhatchee Bay, Okaloosa Island, Destin, and the emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Rise early for a breathtaking sunrise or watch the fireworks over the Destin Harbor on special occasions. Located on the gulf side of the resort this unit is only steps away from the sugar white beaches.

The large private balcony is a great place to enjoy a peaceful breakfast in the morning or a romantic dinner in the evening. Stay entertained with the 37-inch flat screen HDTV, digital cable with HBO, DVD player, 19-inch TV in the bed area, and free high speed WI-FI. The full kitchen has everything you need including a refrigerator/freezer, 2-burner stove, convection microwave, a drip coffee brewer, filtered water, dishwasher, coffee maker, and blender. The Villa can sleep 4 with a queen size bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The spacious bathroom offers a large garden tub for relaxing soaks and a stand alone glass door shower for a quick rinse.

This unit requires a minimum 3-night stay, and guests must be 25 years or older to book.

We made a last minute decision to go to Destin West to meet some friends and I was scrambling to find a decent condo. I am glad I found this one, but the owners were great! They were so helpful in every way. As for the condo, it was adorable. They have really put some personal touches in this condo and made it feel like home. My boys loved the Wii as well. We will be back!

This condo was perfect for our family. We were midway between the beach and the lazy river. Both walking distance away which is great since we have young kids. The condo itself was very nice and clean. Lots of towels to use too! Plenty of amenities that we didn't use but definitely great for a rainy day! The owners are also very responsive. I had no problems booking with them.

Had a great week at the condo! The condo had all the comforts of home even down to beach towels and toys. Especially loved the porch and the close parking in the parking garage (kept the car close and cool). The condo was clean and nicely furnished. The set up is efficiency style so once the couch is opened for the kids your only sitting space is the bedroom but for the price it was perfect for us, besides we really didn't spend that much time inside and when we did we were ready for some sleep! The only negative was it could use more dresser space so things can be put away. The resort itself is so large with so many things to do. Even with the rainy days you could swim in the covered heated pool. The lazy river was a favorite for the boys (age 8 and 15) and we visited all the pools and kids waterworks area. We even took a walk in the water of the bay. My husband and I really liked the fitness room, it had everything you would need and more. It was so nice to be within walking distance to the boardwalk. We ate dinner there 4 nights and would recommend all the restaurants there but we liked Floyds the best. Angelle was so great to work with and communication was fabulous. This was our first time dealing an actual owner rather than a rental company and it is so much better! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a great vacation, at a great price, in a great location and great owners!

My wife, daughter, son-in-law, and myself enjoyed our stay tremendously. The condo was well portrayed in the HomeAway listing and the correspondence with the owner confirmed it all. Upon our arrival, we found that our entrance pass code would not work. This problem was quickly and efficiently taken care of. The inside of the condo was spotless and very inviting. The balcony view was breathtaking to say the least. We enjoyed the outlet mall, the Irish Pub in Destin, Howl at the Moon and oh yes the Lazy River. This was so relaxing especially because the temperature the week we stayed was near 100 degrees. We would absolutely recommend this condo to our friends. We look forward to staying again in the near future.

We had a great time for our 7 days in Destin West. The weather wasn't great, but the heated pools and jacuzzies made it worthwhile. 58*-60* most days made getting in the water a tough one, but staying on the beach and having access to other amenities' across the street were great. One of the best workout spaces I have had when traveling.

We only stayed one night. The beach and pool offerings were very nice. The unit we stayed in needs general maintenance. The ceiling needs re-plastered and some of the bathroom could use some general touching up.

Will be my last stay with Destin West. My family and I have stayed many times at the resort, and it seems to be doing down hill. The resort seemed not maintained like it once was. Our villa was not clean, which is disappointing considering the cost to stay.

I absolutely love Destin West. I visit at least twice a year. This condo did not disappoint. They have freshly painted the exterior. The amenities were great. We parked our vehicle in the free parking garage and didn’t have to drive it again until we left. The walkable distances to restaurants, shops, and the beach was fabulous. The bayside is also easy to access because there is a crossover. I would stay again.

My family loved the location of Destin West. The room was clean. Staff was great and accommodating. We loved that the board walk was so close for dinner. Perfect spot for a relaxing beach vacation!

The property was adequate for our needs. One thing we think could be improved upon was the beach umbrellas. It would have been nice if you reserved a spot for those who bring their own beach umbrellas and etc. The commercial umbrella providers took up every spot that was water front and much of the second row leaving those of us with our own umbrellas no good spot for set up. We did notice the added security in the covered parking area which we really liked. Also the security to the beach access was good to see. Also, in the room the bottom of the wall between the tub and shower had mold. That should be removed and perhaps a piece of tile should be added.

Overall good, I did feel the staff could be more helpful in supplying towels, we had to go over the sky bridge to the main office to get towels. No housekeeping the entire week we were there so this was a on going issue. Minor cosmetic touch ups in the bathroom would be nice not a must but something that should be considered.
